Dogs

My basic dog package is for any dog or puppy over 5 months that has had no previous training or needs a little refresher. This package includes 4 one-hour sessions and will help you train your dog the basic commands. Once completing this package your dog will have those manners that you were always looking for. This is great for a dog that has been in your home awhile, but you just haven't had the time for training. Its also great for that dog that you just adopted from a shelter.  I use only positive reinforcement so it is perfect for dogs that have come from a shelter that may not have had the best life in the past! Package includes the following and can be modified slightly to fit individual needs.

Session One:

• A detailed history of your dog and your dogs new family
• Stop chewing on my dining room table and leave my shoes alone! How to get your dog to chew only on his chew toys.
• Puppy proofing the house
• Begin command "Sit" (the first time you ask)
• Calming your dog through touch and massage

Session Two:

• Continue command "Sit"
• Understanding dog body language and appropriate play with other dogs and people
• Begin command "Down" (the first time you ask)
• Begin command "Come"
• Begin walking nicely on a leash
• Begin command "Drop-It"

Session Three:

• Begin command "Stay"
• Continue "Sit", "Down" and "come"
• Talk about command "Potty" : how to get your dog to do it NOW, not ten minutes from now
• Continue walking nicely on a leash
• Begin command "Leave-It" as in "Don't even think of putting that in your mouth!"

Session Four:

• "Four on the Floor" : Politely meeting guests at the door
• Review all behaviors
• Trick training "roll over"
