Puppies

Puppy pre-school is perfect for someone who has never had a puppy before or hasn't had one in a long time. This package includes 6 one-hour sessions and will help you from the first day you bring your puppy home. We can begin the first session even before you bring your puppy home and continue with the rest of the training once your puppy is at least ten weeks of age. I use only positive reinforcement so it is perfect for young puppies and will teach your new pup how to love to learn! Package includes the following and can be modified slightly to fit individual needs.

Session One:

• An intorduction to your family and your new puppy
• Potty Training and Crate Training 101
• Puppy proofing the house
• What toys are best for my young puppy?
• Ouch! Stop chewing on my hands!
• Calming your puppy through touch and massage
• Begin command "Sit"

Session Two:

• Continue command "Sit"
• Understanding puppy's body language and appropriate play with other dogs and people
• Begin command "Leave-It" otherwise known as "Don't you dare even think of putting that in your mouth!"
• Begin walking nicely on a leash

Session Three:

• Continue "Sit" and
• Begin command "Down"
• "Four on the Floor" : Politely meeting guests at the door
• Continue walking nicely on a leash
• Begin command "Drop it"
• Continue "Leave-it"

Session Four:

• Begin command "Stay"
• Begin command "Come"
• Continue "Down"
• Contiue "Sit"
• Continue "Drop-It"
• Continue "Four on the FLoor"
